Fixing an Unsafe Situation

Or course not. In one, the horizontal railing has been sheared off, leaving a very jagged edge behind; in the other, a vertical section has broken off, exposing an obvious trip hazard (and another dangerously jagged edge).

Our customer owns a commercial building in West Allis, Wis., where a construction mishap left them facing this immediate unsafe scenario. They asked our Milwaukee metal fabrication team to step in.

This was a slightly different project than usually comes into our Milwaukee welding shop. No design, no fabricating - just a straight repair. Our metal fabricators were up to the task, as you can see in the images below.

On both railings, our metal works professionals cut off, smoothed and capped the broken sections. The partial piece protruding from the sidewalk was removed. Safety was restored to the walkway outside our customer’s building.
