Keeping Esteemed Company

Fresh on the heels of his being named one of Wisconsin’s top 100 business leaders, our company President, Jason Young, scored another prestigious award!

The Milwaukee Business Journal named Jason one of its Veterans in Business 2022, an honor given to only a dozen Milwaukee-area organizational leaders. Jason served our nation for more than 12 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and Wisconsin Army National Guard.

“The program is designed to recognize veterans who are having success in business while also making substantial efforts to help other veterans succeed,” stated a Business Journal article about the winners. “Nominees had to be based in or have significant operations in Wisconsin. Winners were selected through a collection of nominations that were judged by Business Journal editors and a group of Wisconsin business executives, who are veterans.”

You can read the full MBJ profile of Jason here. The story notes how he bought Milwaukee metal fabrication and welding shop 3Up Metal Works in 2020, stating “Since that time, Young has been able to grow the company considerably and approach different industries.”

Jason and the other winners were honored at an awards breakfast at the Marcus Performing Arts Center. Afterward, he caught up (photo below) with fellow honoree Dan Buttery (right) of the War Memorial Center and Ed Garza (left) of the Center for Veterans Issues.

Jason is a passionate advocate for veterans causes. He co-chairs the Veteran Advisory Committee at the War Memorial, and serves on the Advisory Committee for the Center for Veterans Issues. In his day-to-day business dealings, Jason always seeks to connect other veteran-owned operations with strong partners.

Congratulations to Jason on his award, and for keeping such esteemed company!
